Not all of my friends on FB are actual humans. Standing about 10 inches tall and weighing in at 3 pounds, Nurse Judy is a ceramic gnome-like creature silently-voiced by my friend Jeff Marx.
Nurse Judy is a world traveler. She has been seen in Haiti helping earthquake victims, on a farm in PA playing with her other gnome friends and vacationing in New Orleans.
For new year's eve this past year, Jeff Marx's bf hosted a party at his apartment in Brooklyn. I was lucky enough to get an invite. My friends, Eric and Jeff Strack planned on spending the night at Jeff Marx's apartment near the party so they didn't have to travel back to the city that night. Little did I know that a plan to abduct Nurse Judy from Jeff Marx's apartment was about to take place.
Eric, Strack and a few other accomplices stole Nurse Judy out from under Mr. Marx. Don't worry kids. It was done in clean fun and Nurse Judy was not harmed. In fact, they took Nurse Judy to many wonderful places like backstage at WICKED and Times Square where she was photographed for posterity. They then took these photos of Judy's adventure and made a book out of them. Eric and Jeff gave the book as well as Nurse Judy back to Mr. Marx on his birthday.
I'm glad Nurse Judy is back with her owner. I'm sorry to see her go from my page. She always greeted me with a sly smile and useful health tips.
